The online register provides a comprehensive list of registered health professionals. It contains essential information such as full name, date of birth, profession, date of registration, ID number, and specialist title. This allows you to easily verify the registration status of any health professional at the time of your search.
Since January 1, 2010, the Danish Patient Safety Authority no longer issues physical authorizations, permissions for independent work, or specialist titles to both Danish and international health personnel. Instead, health professionals receive an email confirming their registration within their respective profession.
The register also includes publicly available information on whether a health professional is subject to intensified supervision, mandatory changes in professional performance, or any registration restrictions. It's important to note, however, that not all details are accessible to the general public. If you require additional information regarding other types of restrictions, please get in touch with the Danish Patient Safety Authority.
Furthermore, upon request from foreign health authorities, the Danish Patient Safety Authority will provide certificates of current professional status. These certificates contain relevant information about the health professional's name and registration status. If applicable, they may also include references to Council Directive 2005/36/EC, which pertains to the recognition of professional qualifications within the European Union.
