Special process for specifically requested healthcare professionals

New regulations allows specifically requested healthcare professionals to complete the process of obtaining Danish authorization through a "flexible track scheme". With the new rules, it will be possible to complete an employment for adaptation and training purposes at the same time as you fulfill the requirements that must be completed in the authorizations process. You can read more about the scheme below.

Can you be covered by the rules for specifically requested healthcare professionals?

If you can document a specific offer of employment for adaptation and training purposes as a specifically requested professional, covering the entire evaluation period, you may be covered by the rules in this regard.

If you are covered by the rules, it means that you can meet the other requirements for obtaining Danish authorization while completing your employment for adaptation and training purposes. This allows you to learn Danish and complete the tests relevant to your profession while in employment for adaptation and training purposes.

Note - It is your responsibility to find the necessary employments for adaptation and training purposes, that meet the rules applying for specifically requested professional.

However, you cannot be granted Danish authorization before you have been employed for the equivalent of 12 months of full-time employment.

If you have completed specialist training, and this meet our requirements, your employment for adaptation and training purposes cannot be shorter than 6 months of full-time employment. The employment for adaptation and training purposes must be completed in a department which trains specialists within your specialty.

Your employer must send an evaluation form to us every six months throughout your evaluation employment, as well as an updated supervision plan if there are any changes.
